Quick Easy Healthy Oats-Banana Smoothie Recipe
For one serving, you will need:
Oats: 1/4 cup rolled oats
A rich source of fiber, it makes your smoothie thick, ultra-filling, and satisfying. Since the oats are ground in the blender, you may use any kind of oats you have on hand. I usually use rolled oats.
If you are using instant oatmeal, make sure it’s not sweetened or flavored.
Banana. 1, cut into three pieces.
The best is a spotty banana. Peel and cut spotty bananas into pieces, then freeze them in a zip-top bag. They make any smoothie creamy and naturally sweet.
TIP: If you don’t have any frozen bananas, you can use a fresh banana. If you want, then pop in a few ice cubes at the end to cool it as per your taste.
Plain low-fat yogurt: 1/2 cup
Fat-free milk: 1/2 cup
Honey: 2 teaspoons
Ground cinnamon: 1/4 teaspoon
Method
Combine oats, banana, yogurt, fat-free milk, honey, and cinnamon in a blender. Churn until smooth. Pour in a smoothie glass & throw in a few ice cubes and drink it fresh.
